Location
We took this photo in a sand pit. We had to walk miles, with so much material, to get there!Time
We like to work in the morning. By the time we got there, that we got all the chairs in the right place and the sand smoothened with a broom, we did the photo around 11 am. The sun was getting really hot!Lighting
The harsh light from an almost noon sun created great shadows around the chairs, giving even more realism and 3D effect.Equipment
A Canon 6D, with a Canon 24-105 mm L, that’s it.Inspiration
When we saw these wonderful sand dunes, we wanted to create something with them. We thought of doing a very graphic image, using our favorite colors at that moment: red and teal.Editing
We slightly fixed the sand so it would look even more smooth and perfect. In my camera bag
We always have our Canon 24-105 mm used for this photo, a Tamron wide angle, a Sigma 50 mm 1.4 Art, a Canon 50 mm Macro, a trigger Godox, and extra batteries!Feedback
Preparation is important; don’t skip on the details. And don’t be afraid to put yourselves in uncomfortable environments for your shots! It will give them uniqueness and surely a « Wow! » effect.
