Great photo! Love the undisturbed snow and the lone tree - nothing could be more lonely than a tree in winter. Voted

Behind The Lens

Location

Mt. Zumberak, Croatia

Time

Late morning, I think. There are no EXIF data. It was shot on film.

Lighting

Bright and sunny winter day, lots of snow. Much light!

Equipment

Minolta Dynax 7000i, Fujichrome Sensia (100 ASA)

Inspiration

The scenery. The snow was glittering, and the lone tree was as much of a contrast to it as to the sky...

Editing

E6 home-processed film, scanned. Post-processed with crop, re-sized for upload, resharpened a tad. Nothing special.

In my camera bag

Two cameras, spare batteries, CPL, ND, and Skylight filters. Usually dispersed through the pockets of my photo jacket.

Feedback

Knowing where the scenes are which look good in wintertime is a good thing. Then just pick the proper day, and go visit the place. Otherwise, use your free time to cruise your surroundings, and make notes of interesting spots. Create scenarios, and later on try to realize those. This helps you get properly prepared for each of those unique situations, which is especially important in winter.
