I have see this a number of times. I have even made somo of those holes myself at places like the TLS in Afghanistan. And every time it catches my eye but I have not being able to bring myself to make the shot with my camera. I know what the man-made hell it is.

I am sorry you had to live through the times like this - makes no good memories. In the end, all the holes are repaired, and eventually peace resumes; right or wrong, the World changes. And rarely for better.

Joop, among all the viruses in existence, sometimes I wish there was one that exclusively attacks the warmongers. If it did, I'd gladly support any and all institutions that would refuse to find an antidote! It is outright crazy to have wars and primitives without proper upbringing that create so much pain in 21st Century... 😡
