Behind The Lens

Location

Taken at River Mreznica in Croatian Mountain region.

Time

Around noon, no data there. It was shot on film and scanned to digital version.

Lighting

Normal daylight, no added light. Fujichrome Sensia (100 ASA) slidefilm.

Equipment

Olympus IS3000, bridge camera. One of the excellent models, the avatar of prosumers.

Inspiration

The grass in the river shallows, apparently growing out of the sky reflection.

Editing

E-6, home processed, scanned to digital image. WB re-balanced. Resized to upload size, subsequently a bit re-sharpened.

In my camera bag

Two cameras. One has to have some usable zoom, the other has to be waterproof. This is my preference thing; as a longtime diver, I always manage to find some water to dunk at least the camera under the surface. Otherwise, such cameras are also good backup in bad weather.

Feedback

Consider my suggestion for having a waterproof camera with you as a backup. If your theme is near some water, there are always two things present: one, you might accidentally dunk your "main" camera in it, and two, there just might be something interesting under the surface to photograph!
