The Neil Dankoff Photography Competition

Singita is a conservation and ecotourism brand that has been helping to preserve Africa’s wildlife and wilderness for the past 30 years, offering guests exceptional safari experiences at 15 luxury, award-winning lodges, and camps across four countries. In partnership with non-profit Funds & Trusts who implement strategic conservation projects in each region, Singita’s 100-year purpose is to preserve and protect large parts of African wilderness for future generations.

As part of our mission to empower photographers Worldwide, we are running the Neil Dankoff photography competition with the goal to feature unique images and the best creators of the community. By selecting the work of up-and-coming photographers, we hope to encourage creativity and inspire new ideas. We believe that creativity is essential to the progress of humanity, and we are committed to supporting it in all its forms. This is your chance to have your photos seen by millions of people and to receive the recognition you deserve.

Grand Jury Winner

All-inclusive, Singita Safari Photography trip to Tanzania! 5 nights-complimentary luxury accommodation in Tanzania at Singita lodges. 3 nights at Sasakwa lodge, and 2 nights at Sabora Luxury tented Camp(travel during peak season is excluded June-Aug). The prize includes all flights and full board accommodation –all meals, all drinks (excluding French Champagne), game drives, bush walks, WiFi, laundry services, and road transfers to and from Singita airstrip. Neil Dankoff will join the expedition to share in the photography adventure of a lifetime!

The competition will crown winners among the following categories: Landscape, Portraits, Wildlife, Architecture, and Minimalist. One winner from each category will have their photographs professionally printed and mounted by Toronto Image Works. The photograph will then go on display for a month at Neil’s Kandy Gallery at Hotel X Toronto. All profit from sales will go directly to the photographer.

Meet the Master Judges

The image selection criteria are based on photos that showcase a unique feeling and that have strong compositions, sound technical skills, creativity, and originality. VIEWBUG's editors will select the winners from each category and will create a finalist gallery. The guest judges and will select the winner among all the finalists. The People’s Choice will be selected based on the number of votes.

Neil Dankoff

Neil Dankoff is a fine art photographer out of Toronto, Canada. Neil has spent the last 14 years traveling the world in an attempt to capture some of nature’s most picturesque vistas. Neil uses a medium format camera system and often shoots in various exposures and focal points to create each final piece. He owns and operates Kandy Gallery which displays his limited edition photographs.

Shannon Wild

Australian-born Shannon Wild is an award-winning wildlife photographer and cinematographer and a passionate wildlife lover and conservationist. Since 2004, she has worked for clients such as National Geographic, NatGeo Wild and the United Nations as well as various wildlife NGO's and non-profits such as Wild Tomorrow Fund, The Perfect World Foundation and Wildaid. In 2017, she founded Wild In Africa® - Bracelets For Wildlife as a way to directly give back to various wildlife conservation organizations.

Daria Klepikova

I am a creative photographer, talented at various styles and providing innovative solutions for my portfolio of global brand clients either on-location shoots or via a studio set-up. My work has won international photography contests and I have also been featured in world photo exhibitions.

Seth Macey

Seth is a passionate Canadian wildlife and landscape photographer who has a deep appreciation for nature and a keen eye for capturing its beauty. He has honed his craft through years of immersive experiences in the great outdoors, extensive research, and active pursuit of animal subjects. Apart from his love for photography, Seth is also dedicated to helping other photographers achieve their goals. As a co-host of the Photographer Mindset Podcast, he generously shares his insights and offers strategies to help listeners build mental resilience, develop innovative thinking, and pursue success in their photographic pursuits.

Aaron Mannes

Aaron Mannes is a nature and wildlife photographer currently based in Connecticut, USA. He is a passionate explorer of the great outdoors, always pushing the boundaries of his photography skills and innovating his approach to capturing the natural world. Aaron's work is singularly focused on bringing to life the authentic essence of the wild and its inhabitants. His images and videos truly capture the beauty and wonder of nature in all its forms. In addition to his passion for photography, Aaron is also co-host of The Photographer Mindset podcast providing listeners with valuable insights and practical guidance to cultivate mental strength and foster innovative thinking.
