Pete- you are very kind. Honestly Yosemite is a JOY to shoot- even the same locations yielded sharply different images every day. The main trick to getting good images is to put yourself in a position to GET the good images (and then cross your fingers!).

This is one of my favorite locations.... I go back to it again and again, day after day and year after year. You just go, and hope nature helps you out. Generally, it does. Besides, the view is so nice!Time

I got lucky...Equipment
Would have used a wide angle lens, probably my 14-24. Shot this with my D810, now I would use my Z7. Used a good tripod so I could shoot different light and combine.Inspiration
Just look at this. What inspires me? Just standing here how can you not be inspired. To shoot this,I stood in the snow, freezing my tail. But this view.... yeah. THAT is inspiring, and makes the cold just go away!Editing

This took some hiking, getting up early and freezing my butt off. Be prepared. You are only cold (or tired) for a little while; the images you get last forever!
