Location

This was near the Grand Canyon.... I think on NP land. This was the results of a control burn...

Time

As evidenced by the sun, it was late in the day.... 1 hr before sunset or so. We were racing to get the sunset.... but this also was worth stopping for.

Lighting

Its all about the sun!

Equipment

This was hand held.... I was not even looking through the viewfinder.... Just hand that camera low, shoot wide and bang!

Inspiration

I liked the new vs old idea here. The sun position was also key to the framing I wanted.

Editing

Just normal contrast and crop.

In my camera bag

I was just out of my car, so I had just about everything. For this.... it was just a camera and a super wide...

Feedback

This was all about pre visualizing the image. Like I said, I was NOT looking through the camera. But I knew exactly what I wanted and I shot it!
