Note the image quality of this small, simple and well-made pocket camera... one does not have to pay an arm and a leg for a camera that performs excellently - not then and even less today. This Oly was my EDC for a long time!

Most often, yes. But it would also depend on a season in your area. Spring and Autumn might be the best time to find something like this. Thanks for liking it! :)

Location
The photo was made along the Sljeme mountain road (Zagreb, Croatia), one among the several roads I used to "patrol" on my free weekends, and quite often throughout the year. Since every season brings its own hues and visual delights, I always expected the new scenery even on the same spots along the road - and both my favorite roads (this one over the Sljeme, and another one through the Zumberak mountain range) never failed to deliver!Time
Date/Time of this shot is-was 16-Aug-08 11:43:18Lighting
Since the camera was not very widely adjustable, these were the elements it has chosen automatically: 1/30 sec, f/3.5, ISO 80, 0.00 eV, Metering Mode: Pattern, Flash Off, and Focal Length: 6.7 mmEquipment
The camera used was an Olympus 725SW - small, compact, totally watertight, and making very good photos. It was used out of hand with no added equipment.Inspiration
I guess many among the photographers do what I do, namely travel some nearby areas in search of beautiful vistas. I used to do it for years... Some of the beautiful spots and roads I still remember well, knowing exactly what I can expect at certain places, and in different seasons. Inspirative enough!Editing
It's been a long time ago, but I think not... except for some cropping to balance the final image. In my camera bag
For decades already I find it easier to carry a photo vest than any photo bag. So I load my photo vest with whatever I might need for my photo session, walk or trip. My photo bags usually stay home or in the car to keep the equipment I'm not using at the moment. The vest's many pockets usually contain two cameras, spare batteries, ND and CPL filters, and one small photo clamp instead of a tripod. Sometimes I'll include a small action camera, mainly for its wide field of view and resistance to water and weather. The vest has pockets for big lenses that can hold a small water bottle, a sandwich, or a bar of chocolate if I plan on being out for the whole day. I always add about three meters length of paracord or similar strong, thin rope, one hefty pocket knife, and a lighter. With these, much can be "mcgyvered" along the way, so that's all I need. Recently I make it even more comfortable for me, and take the essentials along in a waist pouch; a variable-volume McKinley. Simplicity and comfort; two best qualities for the most situations!Feedback
Remember your nice locations and visit them at least once per season, because it will always broing something new to your eyes. Aside of this, the most important advice would be: never leave your home without a camera! But you already know that.
