Foggy Weather Photo Tips
Foggy weather can create some truly stunning photographs. But how do you capture the perfect picture of fog? Here are a few tips to help you get started:
⚫ When shooting fog, you want to use a long exposure to really capture the ethereal quality of the scene. This means using a tripod to keep your camera steady, and using a remote shutter release or self-timer to avoid any camera shake.
⚫ A good rule of thumb is to underexpose your images by one stop when shooting in foggy weather. This will help to bring out the details in the shadows and give your images a moody feel.
⚫ Keep an eye on the light. In foggy conditions, the light will change rapidly, so it's important to be prepared to adjust your camera settings accordingly.
