Behind The Lens
Location
This picture was taken along the massive walls of Mehrangarh fort, in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.Time
The sun was high, though some haze allowed me to avoid having sharp shadows, which are ussually unwanted by photographers.Lighting
Haze, mist and slightly foggy weather are the perfect natural setting for portrait (human or not) since they recreate diffuse light the way a professional photographer would do in his/her studio.Equipment
Being a "stolen" picture (the animal stayed very shortly upon the wall) I only had time to use my camera, without any further extra equipment.Inspiration
The squirrel's fur had the same color as the fort walls. Mimetism was the first thing that caught my eye.Editing
No post-editing at all was done. There is no need (or possibility) of improving what nature has done.In my camera bag
A tripod anada couple of filters are usually in my bag, though animals tend to run away long before I have time to use themFeedback
As opposed to your camera, which is periodically switched off, the photographer's eye is always open and keeps scanning the environment for something worth taking a picture at.
