This could have been an awesome shot if not for the flare from behind. A fill in light using a flash would have offset the flare and revealed more detail..

that sounds like a very useful tip for avoiding flares. Sometimes I forget about using a flash all together because I always assume it will over power my shots. This was a good reminder it doesn't need to be the key light source but work as a fill as well.

well i don't agree with anthony cuz without it, we would have focus on that wonderful woman, damn she 's a real beauty , wouldn't go photo with her, if you see what i mean! ;)

that is a beautiful camera. I think the colors help compliment it very nicely

Location
I took this photo in my girlfriends bedroom right by her window as the sun was coming around to that part of the window frameTime
It was around 5 oclock pm as the sun was starting to fade into the horizonLighting
I was waiting for the sun to hit the window frame so I could capture some flares with my lens being wide open figured it would add a nice effect, it did :)Equipment
I used my canon 5d mark iii with my canon L series USM II 35mmInspiration
I just wanted to try something a little different and added the old vintage camera in my girlfriends hands to make it seem like she was the photographer getting photographedEditing
very little post processing with this image, little bit of contrast and touch ups with the textures and highlights. In my camera bag
Canon 5d mark iii, canon 100mm macro, 50mm 1.8, 35mm 1.4, lens ball, lens cleaner, lens pen, memory cards, 3 batteries, battery charger, head light, flash light, tripod, camera remote, lee filters 100mm system, lee filters big stopper, lee filters nd grad, rain cover, leatherman, AAA batteries, AA batteries, camera strap, business cards,Feedback
dont be afraid to try something new and take as many photos as you can, having more options to choose from is always better. The shots you sometimes will take not thinking it will be anything special sometimes actually works out in your favour.
