Grand Jury Winner

"The image, "Drying Yellow Fabric", is my choice as the winner. In this image, yellow is both the subject and the story. The composition is also compelling and I am left desiring to know more about the fabrics (ex: How are they made? Where are they made? Who are the people making them? What will they be used for?). When looking at this image, I am intrigued to know the full story. I love when an image creates a story that leaves me wanting more. While there is a person in the image, the person here is not the subject and does not distract from the story. However, this person is a valuable supporting character as their presence is important to show the scale and the vastness of the drying grounds. For me, this image is the winner!" - Sharon Radisch
