I took this photo in my living room where we had these beautiful flowersTime
I took this photo in the afternoon when the sun was high in the sky which gave me optimal lighting and exposureLighting
Utilizing natural light is always what I strive for when taking photos and thats exactly what I did with this picture. Using the light that was coming through the windows in my living room I pointed my lens in the direction of the light and used my viewfinder to find the most interesting frame.Equipment
Shot on a Canon 5d mark iii with my canon 100mm macro lens. This lens is incredibly sharp and the macro feature is what really made this photo hit with the close focus range I was able to fill my frame how I liked and clicked away.Inspiration
I don't think it was anything planned I had my camera in my hands and noticed the flowers so I started to take some pictures. I believe this was right around the time when I first bought my 100mm lens and was testing out how close the focusing got.Editing
This was before I started using lightroom so this picture is not very edited, I probably brought down some of the highlights and maybe some other small colour or contrast adjustmentsIn my camera bag
I carry my Canon 5d mark iii, 35mm usm ii, 100mm macro, 50mm, lee filters 100mm system, lee filters big stopper, lee filters nd graduated filter 0.9, lens ball, remote timer, flash light, leatherman, headlamp, foto pro tripod, lens cleaner, kim wipes, lens pen, extra batteries,Feedback
The more you practice the better you get. Take as many pictures as possible always, don't hesitate to take a lot of pictures of the same thing at different exposures, different angles. The main thing is have fun and make memories.
