Photo was made by the Zumberak (Croatia) mountain road, where there was tens of carcases pulled out of the forest and piled up. Later on the mobile press came to turn the junk into scrap metal cubes which were then transported to the smelting place and turned into useable metal.Time
As the photo was recorded on slide-film, there is no Exif to consult. However, I'd say it was shot on some Autumn weekend day in 2001. And thinking about my routine photo excursions to these beautiful mountains, it might have happened around 1100 hours, since the journey timing was always similar...Lighting

My go-to camera in those days was an Olympus IS-3000, an advanced prosumer which was a pleasure to use. There was no add-on gear used (but there was always a tripod in the car, for just in case). In my case, the camera was loaded with Fujichrome Sensia (100ASA) - my fave film material!Inspiration
As it happens, I have stumbled upon the place some days after the car junk has been pressed into transportable cubes, and just before it was taken away. The mountain road widens at the spot because there is a small stone quarry by the side, and there the cubes were. The very next weekend these were already gone. So the initial surprise of seeing it was also the inspiration.Editing
Yes I did. The PRESS plate there was added by my hand (it's a pretty well camouflaged drawing). The reason was the word, because the carcases were PRESSed, and the photo has also been published in the "press", so... you see? :)In my camera bag
For decades already I find it easier to carry a photo vest than any photo bag. So I load my photo vest with whatever I might need for my photo session, walk or trip. My photo bags usually stay home or in the car to keep the equipment I'm not using at the moment. The vest's many pockets usually contain two cameras, spare batteries, ND and CPL filters, and one small photo clamp instead of a tripod. Sometimes I'll include a small action camera, mainly for its wide field of view and resistance to water and weather. The vest has pockets for big lenses that can hold a small water bottle, a sandwich, or a bar of chocolate if I plan on being out for the whole day. I always add about three meters length of paracord or similar strong, thin rope, one hefty pocket knife, and a lighter. With these, much can be "mcgyvered" along the way, so that's all I need. Recently I make it even more comfortable for me, and take the essentials along in a waist pouch; a variable-volume McKinley. Simplicity and comfort; two best qualities for the most situations!Feedback
Several, actually, but everybody already knows them; 1) ALWAYS have a camera at hand; 2) look around to notice changes even on the most familiar grounds; 3) always have a camera at hand, and 4) always have a camera at hand - or you'll be sorry you missed a good shot! (Did I mention one always has to have a camera at hand?) :)))
