Peel the paint off the pic, and what remains is probably "art" - or at least some people would think that a B&W photo is "it".
It is not.
Some photo themes benefit from monochromatic approach, some do not. Thus the large part of art is to distinguish which.
Shooting B&W photos is best done in B&W Mode, instead of relying on conversion tools. ;)
