I took this photo along Seneca lake in New York.Time
This was getting towards evening it had been a cloudy day most of the time so i wasn't sure i was going to get a very good shot but the sun came out just enough to give me a little color before it went down over the hills.Lighting
The lighting was natural with the soft glows of the evening colors i just added a little enhancement to the shot to give it a little more color .Equipment
I used my canon 70D for this shot I never use anything but freehand for my shots for me it's always better to travel light when i'm shooting I also used my canon 18-150mm lens for this shot.Inspiration
I enjoy watching the sunsets because you never know what your going to get as a photo and Seneca lake is a beautiful place to capture some of the best ones i've ever seen so i was so thrilled when i saw this beautiful setting that i had to keep the memory for me and others to enjoy.Editing
Yes i enhanced the colors a little to bring out more of the tones and I also sharpened it and actually darkened it a little to add a little mystery then I took out any unnecessary spots in the hills to make them one solid color. In my camera bag
I usually just have my canon 70D and 18-135mm lens and my 150-600mm lens for the longer shots.Feedback
My advice would be to just get out and enjoy your surroundings I was almost ready to go home when I saw this beautiful scene in front of me and I'm glad I did, you'll never know what you might find out there to shot so just be patient the next great shot might be waiting for you right around the corner.
