The focus is interestingly set, drawing the attention to the smile rather than the head

This was a serious contender in my challenge, but the other 25 commenters have gone unthanked so moving on.

I took this shot in my back yard on one of my many plants.Time
This was around 12:00 P.M. i was just walking around my backyard enjoying my flowers when i saw this little guy munching on some leaves.Lighting
The sun was right over my head so it gave me plenty of natural light to shot by.Equipment
I used a canon 50D with a 24-85mm lens i didn't use a tripod i just got as close as i could to the little guy and took my best shot :)Inspiration
I was just enjoying all my flowers in my back yard and the sun was really warm and sunny so i figured i could get some shots of butterflies at the flowers so as i was taking shots of them i saw this little guy hiding near a branch he had such great markings so i just had to get a shot of him :)Editing
I used a sharpening tool along with a little boost of color to bring out more of his color. In my camera bag
Right now i use a canon 70D as my main camera with a 150-600mm lens also a 18-135mm lens.Feedback
My advise would be to just get out there and explore even the smallest areas because you never know what could be waiting just under a leaf, don't be afraid to look at an old area in a different way.
