Grand Jury Winner

"I think that this image perfectly demonstrates how the right color combination can result in a pleasant and harmonious visual experience. The light, shadows and long exposure with cloud movement in the middle of the frame accentuate the cohesive color palette, all fitting together in a pattern seamlessly like a perfect puzzle to make this a wonderful work of art. To top it all off, it is a creative and original view as well. Very well done! " - Candace Dyar

Amateur Winner

"What I like most about this image is how it tells a story. The colors and textures on the walls immediately draw me in, enhancing the depth of field and I find myself looking at a visual portal through time when I gaze through the prison doors. I want to know what took place here years ago, before this prison was abandoned. What compelled the people there to have this be the only colorful area? The artist additionally did a great job here with the light and shadows, which work nicely to bring out the vibrancy of the attractive color palette amidst all of the decay." - Candace Dyar

Runner Up

"All of the natural elements here work together very nicely, creating a beautiful and harmonious color palette. The processing is subtle, yet effective and the cool pastel colors are very attractive to the eyes. It is also refreshing to witness this view and perspective of a location in Bulgaria not so commonly seen in landscape photography. It makes me want to be there, and the foreground elements and details here help lead me into the frame, making me feel almost as if I were there when this was taken." - Candace Dyar
