This so expressed what the country is going through. The stormy clouds the darkness but the glow of this icon! We have have to remember what we have over come. What a powerful photo.

Ceruleans and viridians and veritas and all sorts of colours of truth here

Nice job on the composition, very evocative. Not to get too much into politics, but this really expresses all the crap that this country is going through, with Trump's tarriffs, the shutdown over the border wall, which won't really do anything, and his constant lies, hate-mongering

Location
We were visiting NY, it was our last stop of the trip before my wife departed to Paris. We took the ferry boat just to the Statue and back.Time
It was end of the May and a rainy afternoon. As soon as we got off the boat it started raining.Lighting
It's a natural lighting, mixture of dark clouds and the highlight of the sun behind the statue that made this shot almost perfect.Equipment
I've been loving my Nikon D800 and I love the quality of the pictures I shoot.Inspiration
Statue of liberty or rather I call it Lady Liberty, I think is the symbol of a freedom and what we have in this country to be able to live free, express ourselves, and be who we are.Editing
I usually do clean up the dust off the photos and adjust the exposure/brightness/contrast if needed, I don't like to manipulate my photos much.In my camera bag
Other than my Nikon D800, I have a my Tele lens, my prime 55, a macro, flash, always and remote.Feedback
shoot what makes your heart happy.
