People's Choice
Grand Jury Winner

"“Red Autumn” is a very well executed and very creative image. The red color is vibrant and contrasts well against the muted colors of the deteriorating wall in the room, bringing your full attention to the woman wearing the red dress. It seems as if the women is morphing into the past. She is reaching for a leaf as if to hold on to the present time but knows she is soon to be a part of the past. Hauntingly beautiful." - Theresa Airey

Runner Up

"I think of this image as a portrait of the more human side of an angel. The light on the body sculpturing the muscles epitomizes not only the outer strength of the body but the emotional toughness and strength of the inner “spirit.” The angle of the head hanging down shows the suffering and distress that we all go through from time to time --reinforcing this is not an ethereal being, but one that can be weighted down by humanity. A very evocative Image and masterful handling of light." - Theresa Airey

Runner Up

"Aside from being an adorable shot, Ms. Klass took something almost cliché and turned it into a mesmerizing shot. The eyes are huge and convey a fragile frightened entity." - Theresa Airey

Amateur Winner
Finalist

"Again, a well-executed and creative image.  The muted colors and tones blend well and bring your eye to the man’s face. The man’s eye is compelling and shows an ambitious and aspiring nature, which holds your attention. His other half blends into the cityscape, which is cleverly accomplished with the cityscape lying on the side. The pale city background and textures add to the image as well, giving it a bit of city grungy-ness that further unifies the man in the city. Well done!" - Theresa Airey
