Thank you to all the photographers that participated in the Creative Composition Photo Contest, sharing their best photos showing creative compositions. Congratulations to the winners and finalists, and a special round of applause for the Grand Jury Winner who wins a Canon 5D MK III or Nikon D800.

"First of all, I'd just like to say that there were so many amazing entries for this truly incredible competition. If I weren't judging it, I would have definitely entered. Whilst I was truly impressed by every entry, I had to think back to the theme being "Creative Composition". Again, it was a very difficult decision to pick just one winner." - Alex Benetel

A special thanks to our friend and professional photographer Alex Benetel for his collaboration as a guest judge. Alex Benetel is a twenty one year old student and photographer from Sydney, Australia. Being fortunate enough to have travelled to many places since quite a young age, she has become very familiar with the importance of documenting a memory or special occasion with the use of a camera. At the age of 16, she enrolled in a Visual Design course which sparked her passion for photography. In 2014, she was named as one of the 20 best artists on Flickr and was flown to New York to exhibit her work. The Flickr20under20 exhibition was curated by Ivan Shaw, Director of Photography for Vogue.

Grand Jury Winner

"This image is truly remarkable. It encompasses everything about the brief. The subject’s pose has created a strong sense of fun and adventure. The reflection of the bridge is absolutely insane and has helped complete a fantastic full circle, making it seem as if the subject is off to travel around the world. Jacob’s decided to be creative with his composition and he should be proud of this shot" - Alex Benetel

Runner Up

"I absolutely love this photograph - it was a close runner for first prize. It’s very powerful, particularly in the way that it’s been framed. Although Paulina has described capturing the curiosity of the penguin, I couldn’t help but interpret her photograph a little differently. There’s an element of sadness, particularly due to the bare, white environment paired with the overpowering nature of the ship. Paulina has captured an honest moment that only a handful of people witness in real life. There’s a real story here." - Alex Benetel

Runner Up

"Stianklo’s work on Viewbug is beautiful. However, this particular shot is unique. Who knows if he stumbled upon this ‘man’ untouched or helped create him. Either way, it’s the way Stianklo has captured the man that has made this photograph stand out from the rest. Many would choose a bird’s eye view, however Stianklo decided for a slight tilt towards the ground, still managing to capture the incredible scenery in the distance. Again, this photograph has a story and is an incredible capture." - Alex Benetel
