My wife and I were out for a morning walk near our hotel in the mountains, and when we saw this....we were totally spellbound. The floating layer of fog on the lake, the beautiful fall colors of the tress, and that prefect reflection in the water – it was a truly magical scene and both of us said “WOW”, many times!
I hope we humankind realize the potential of mother nature's creations and leave them untouched - just like this.
By the way, this was taken with a smartphone!

This was taken in the White Mountains, New Hampshire area. This lake was close to the hotel we were staying at, and is a perfect spot for morning walks.Time
This was early morning time, around 6am may be. My wife and I went for a morning walk and it couldn't have been more rewarding.Lighting
It was early morning and being in the mountains, the lighting was low. It was foggy and cloudy and I guess that made the entire picture way more interesting.Equipment
I used a smartphone. As they say, photography is all about "how" you click, justified!Inspiration
Mother Nature inspires me. I am a great fan of things untouched by humans. Lakes, mountains, trees, wild....everything in which we human have not thrown-in our customization...attracts me. This lake which serves as an epitome of natural beauty makes me sit there for hours and hours and realize that Mother Nature is beautiful, naturally!Editing
Almost nothing. I just did a very subtle sharpening to bring out the details and colors. In my camera bag
My Smartphone, a Nikon D3100 DSLR, additional zoom lens, extra battery.Feedback
"Admire what you see around". That's the key to photography. Our surroundings are filled with interesting things. What matters most is that when we are walking, we should look around instead of looking into our phones (which has become a sad reality these days!). Good luck.
