"I am a commercial portrait, and fine art nature photographer based in Columbus, OH. I spend many hours and days traveling Ohio and beyond seeking the beauty of nature in all its forms. Some of my favorite local locations include Hocking Hills, Yellow Springs, Columbus Metro Parks, and Cuyahoga Valley National Park. My passion for photography started many years ago when I worked as a landscape designer. This formal design training combined with my new interest in photography allowed me to create images that inspired me to explore the wild areas of Ohio and beyond."

"Light and fog play to the depth of this image. The tonal range is well executed and the gradation between warm and cool tones is excellent. Repetition in the trees and shadows echo throughout the scene. The atmosphere of the scene has such life that you can almost feel the movement of the fog as it permeates the scene." - Vince Nobel
"I often look to simplify the sometimes chaotic and complex scenes found in nature. Other times the simplicity is there for the taking as in this image. I love the deliberate position of the tree low in the frame, which just adds to the overall linear feel. The surrounding snow ridges provide a nice frame that wraps perfectly around the dark form of the tree. Nicely crafted." - Vince Nobel
