Location
its in a small village called 'Bengi" which is in Deoghar, Jharkhand, India. this was taken during a family picnic trip.Time
It was around noon time. the sun was shining high and we all were enjoying in the lake. couldn't have found a better time to take this pic!Lighting
the lighting was perfect for this shot. high sun and blazing hot summer created great shadows!Equipment
I used the Nokin D3100 DSLR camera with Sigma 18-250mm lens.Inspiration
I love experimenting while photography. Capturing people jumping has always been on my mind. This hot sunny day along with the flowing lake kicked the creativity in me and I asked my brothers & cousins to pose for a jump. They were not only supportive but gave multiple jumps one after another. I believe we all enjoyed this session and the end result is such that everyone had this as their social media cover photo instantly!Editing
yes, as I always like to post process to correct alignment, cropping etc. I did a little bit of brightness and contrast correction and gave this pic a little sepia look so as to look classy! In my camera bag
A DSLR and and extra battery, and thats pretty much it! Once I am out for night/moving photography, I carry the tripod.Feedback
Yes, just give it a try. The more you try the more you will learn. And always be open to suggestions and experiments. Sometimes the participants will suggest something, hear them out and give it a try. Good luck!
