Location
This photo was taken in Osoyoos British Columbia Canada.Time
The time was just after the golden hour. This was in the winter time so about 5:07 pm December 12, 2014.Lighting
I was going for a post sunset shot so I was waiting for the light to fade and the colors just started to present themselves.Equipment
I used my D7000 Nikon with an 18 - 200 mm lens set at 18 mm. The camera was hand held. The flash did not fire.Inspiration
I lived right beside the lake so the inspiration for a great shot was already there but i noticed the colors and knew it was going to be special so i quickly got down to the beach and started clicking. The whole time lasted only about ten minutes.Editing
I use lightroom and adjusted the white balance and exposure to darken the surroundings and this made the sunset more vivid. In my camera bag
I have a Nikon D7000, 18-200 mm nikor lens, 50mm prime lens, trigger release cable, remote trigger and a tripod.Feedback
Patience is the major thing when taking a sunset. You need to be set up and aware of your framing. I got lucky with this picture because it just happened but my camera was ready.
