People's Choice
Grand Jury Winner

"There are lots of snow monkey pictures out there, and in my opinion, this is a very special one. It tells a story and looks like it was taken from a film. The tones and the light are wonderful. The wet fur emphasizes the strength of the animal. The stream of water running from the body as well as the motion blur of the hand touching the water add to the story and mood. It looks like the animal is angry at somebody or something and hits the water in frustration. That angry look makes me think what upset him. Even if all this was not the case, the picture is a wonderful peace of narration inviting for your own interpretation." - Elke Vogelsang

Runner Up

"I just love the pleasing colours in this picture. The portrait format adds to the drama. The blurred foreground give a sense of depth and adds to the mystique." - Elke Vogelsang

Runner Up

"Ok, it wouldn't be me if I didn't go for at least one dog picture. And this is a wonderful image, in my opinion. It's funny, it looks real and spontaneous. The colours and processing are pleasing. Well done." - Elke Vogelsang
