Location
This photo was taken from a viewpoint above Osoyoos British Columbia during a sunset and a thunderstorm.Time
This was taken at 8:47 pm.Lighting
Other than it was during the Golden Hour the light was all from natural sources.Equipment
I shoot with a Nikon D7000 with an AF-S Nikkor 18-200 mm lens. This was mounted on a tripod and set for 100 shots with an interval of 1 second. I just happened to get lucky and capture a lightning strike.Inspiration
The main inspiration for this photo was that i like thunderstorms and the natural beauty of the Okanagan Valley is always inspiring.Editing
I processed a raw image file in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4. I adjusted for white balance added some contrast and decreased the highlights a little. In my camera bag
My D7000 the 18-200 mm and a 50 mm lens. An extra memory card my charger and my shutter release cable.Feedback
Be ready to go. I take my camera everywhere i go. Plan on spending some time to get your shot. It took me two hours and three hundred shots to get this. All automated so relax and enjoy the scenery.
