Location
This photo was taken in the woods behind where I live.Time
This photo was taken was early in the morning at the start of a winter storm. This winter was a tough one with many storms & massive amount so snowfall. Before the storm became too rough I wanted to take a walk & observe the calm before it. It was eerily calm.Lighting
There isn't anything special about the lighting other than the flash & exposure time to capture the effect of the snow. I wanted the photo to capture the feeling of the snow around me.Equipment
My Sony camera with a flash & longer exposure to capture the falling snow.Inspiration
This photo was inspired by my love for winter & snow. I love walking in the snow & how calming it is. Where I'm from when it snows it's like the world pauses a little.Editing
This shot was originally taken in color & made b&w. I had planned for the shot to be b&w but I usually shoot in color first. In my camera bag
Normally my bag contains my Canon, many lenses, batteries, charger, and my Sony travel camera for back up.Feedback
If you want to capture a similar image, be sure to make a longer exposure & use a flash to highlight the snow. Be sure to watch your equipment in the weather. Be sure it's properly protected against water and cold.
