There are thousands of nigh invisible activities and hard labor which support the very base of our existence.
Consider coal mining, forestry, bees management, honey producement, mushroom gathering, fish farms... things we rarely even think about, since it is "normal" to have warmth, to buy honey, instant soups, fish products, etcetera.
How often we think about the hard work invested in such activities?
I'd guess, rarely - if ever. Especially the tech-spoiled brats that we raise right now.
Nowadays we are seriously warned about things like bees plagues, for instance. Do we understand the huge importance of pollination at all? Or do we know what a day in the coal mine looks like? And yet, the above mentioned activities generate the lowest imaginable income. Makes me wonder why.
So here is a visual of the medal that NOT ONE among the said workers has ever got, while we can't even imagine the World without those, either mentioned or not.
Let's at least remember for a moment that our life is not so independent as the politicians and else useless, well-fed parasites would like us to think. The fishermen et al. give us both; our food - and our smartphones...
