Location
This photo was made from in front one of the numerous Ohrid harbor cafes in the late Summer afternoon. Ohrid city, being on the Eastern shore of the Lake has an open view due West - Southwest, and is thus known for its chances to watch and enjoy its spectacular sunsets.Time
Date of the original is 02-Oct-10 the time was 16:31:55Lighting
All of it, why not? Shutter Speed: 1/250 sec, f/5.6, ISO 64, 0.00 eV, Metering Mode: Pattern, Flash Off (did not fire), and Focal Length of 7.1 mm.Equipment
SONY DSC-F828, an excellent camera, producedd way before its time! I wish SONY would revive it with newer "entrails" in the same form and with the same options that were available with the original model... (I know, fat chance...)Inspiration
Spend the day walking around beautiful Ohrid city, and then rest your feet in one of the cafes along the shore. All you have to do is simply enjoy the view (possiby over some refreshment too!). You won't have to wait for inspiration - since you are a photographer, these will have to wait in line to be applied, as the scenery changes literally every minute.Editing
I lifted some shadows in the foreground, and slightly cropped the original, and that was it. The camera did almost all by itself. In my camera bag
To me it is easier to carry a photo vest than any photo bag. So I load my photo vest with whatever I might need for my photo session, walk or trip. My photo bags usually keep the equipment I'm not using at the moment. The vest's many pockets usually contain two cameras, spare batteries, ND and CPL filters, and one small photo clamp instead of a tripod. Sometimes I'll include a small action camera, mainly for its wide field of view and resistance to water and weather. The vest has large-lens pockets that holds a small water bottle, a sandwich, or a bar of chocolate if I plan on being out for the whole day. There is about three meters length of paracord or similar strong, thin rope, one hefty pocket knife, and a lighter. With these, much can be "mcgyvered" along the way, so that's all I need. Recently I make it even more comfortable for me, and take the essentials along in a waist pouch. Simplicity and comfort; two best ingredients in most situations!Feedback
Sure, and a simple advice it is! If you ever have a chance, visit North Macedonia and especially Lake Ohrid. You have almost whole of my Gallery to show what I mean by this. Which is far better than anything I could write or say in words.
