...from under the small isle of Borovnik (Adriatic, Croatia); my diving buddy posing behind a large red Gorgonia.

This is a complicated derivation of the original (slidefilm). The frame was scanned decades ago to make an A3 sized paper print via a large, 6 X 9cm internegative.

My buddy has recently photographed the print (which is behind a sheet of glass, to complicate things even more), and it took some
work to crop out a part without too much reflections... so this is a photo extracted from the digital image of a slide photo's reproduction on the wall.

Naturally, the result is pretty disastrous in the photo quality sense, but curiously, the memories of the moment are still as fresh as ever, and I can recall many details of that particular dive.

Here, I'd like you to dwell on the memories only! :)

Original photo details:
Summer ~1980, Adriatic, Kornati NP, Borovnik Is., about -30m depth,
Nikonos III (35mm UW Nikkor), Fujichrome Sensia 100ASA, Sunpak Marine 32 strobe (probably set at one-fourth output power)...

Considering the complexities, it's a very effective portrait, using natural lighting! :))

There was flash used (not much daylight at that depth), as you can see in the mask reflection. The eye can adapt to the dark ambient by raising sensitivity up to 5000%, but the film will have a problem even at the widest aperture. Besides, artificial light is the only way to register natural colors of objects...

Oh, the Exif... this is my buddy's camera data (he shoots a Casio). I just retained it to remember the way he's shot the wall-displayed picture.

Well my comment on your next photo was meant for this one. LOL. I really shouldn’t comment from a phone...
