When the lake water gets warm enough, the alga reproducing cycle begins; the parts would separate and float with the wind and currents to their new locations.
During two or three weeks the underwater visibility will be rather low, but one can always do macro photography!
So instead of desisting, just go with the flow and adapt! :)

By the way, this image was made with a PARALENZ DiveCam, an interesting underwater camera that adjusts the White Balance by means of its built-in depth meter, taking into account the light spectrum reduction depending on the "thickness" of the water layer above. An ingenious solution that does away with any and all add-on filters. Look it up! :)

Underwater world is many times larger than our dry world, but we have no ways to see much of it. So small areas that we fleetingly visit, limited by our tech and metabolics, should tickle the imagination and urge for more and better ways.
