Naw, the snake is just slowed down by the cold (dormant). Besides, this is a watersnake, non-venomous and rather shy. You can also see them when they're curious and friendly, I play with them often while snorkeling. Nice guys, my watersnakes! :)

Sorry - serpents are not my favourite creatures! Most of ours are venomous and I give them a very wide berth...
