The photo shows a small area of the Pan in the Culina System revealing pyrolytically stabilized tuberid remnants beneath freely floating oleaginous globules. Discovered many years ago, it has since been proven and confirmed as supportive to human life.

Non-scientific explation: a closeup of soaking pan where we fried some potatoes for lunch. So, not very extraterrestrial, but we can confirm it is very supportive to human life. Also very tasty.
