An abandoned bicycle in an abandoned house in an abandoned village... At least that's what it looked like, last time I was in Posavina, a beautiful region along the Sava river (Croatia).
So why abandoned? A classic story about the young population flocking to the cities, while the old remain as long as their personal timers allow.
On the bright side, things change and every now and again the flow turns, as more and more people realize that big cities aren't the best places to live. So, some enlightened youngs have been known to return.
