Village Lubenice on Cres Is. (Northern Adriatic, Croatia) is situated on top of the ridge, but its beautiful beach requires about one hour of downhill walk to reach... and twice that coming back!
So the more sensible way would be to use the boat, even if the harbor isn't quite near either. However, that natural arrangement ensures that the beach is never crowded.
