This is an interesting tool shaped like popular Japanese wood-carving knives 切り出し.

It is honed razor-sharp and will be used underwater, mainly to remove those pesky torn-off fishing net pieces that will continue to trap and kill fishes and crustaceans - until such a mindlessly left life destroyer is removed from water.

Please do the same; remove all life-endangering objects from water as soon as you see one. Thank you!
