This is how the storm treated the western lake shore, but he eastern side has sustained way more damage, as it is lined with waterfront restaurants and many have (had) platforms over the lake.

Now these platforms are just so many big piles of wooden boards and twisted iron supports. Not to mention the chaotic state of some restaurant interiors, where the waves broke through the plate glass and swamped the inside.
