Palindrome title somehow forced itself under this one, and it is only fair to state that it comes from "The Müller-Fokker Effect". It is a satirical science fiction novel written by John Sladek in 1970.
The book is still very much worth reading, since it depicts the kind of people which in the meantime managed to frighteningly raise their percentage.
