Unaltered, with neither a makeup, beautifying filters nor effects... Youth is like that!
Generally, all people should abandon cosmetics. As opposed to "looking like", there is more health and honesty in simply being oneself.
But what do I know?

Location
The photo is of my friend's daughter, made in the beautiful wintry ambient of Jarun Park (Zagreb, Croatia).Time
The Date/Time of the shot was memorized as 17-Jan-2009 at 11:40:28 hours.Lighting
Since it was a bright winter day with snow around, the natural light was plenty enough. But I used the flash to accent the facial features. So, Shutter Speed was 1/160 sec, F-Number was f/4.2, ISO 64, Exposure Bias Value unchanged (0.00 eV, Metering Mode: Pattern, Flash On: Fired, and Focal Length was 21.47 mm.Equipment
Olympus SP570UZ, an excellent superzoom / prosumer was along. Shot out of hand, with no add-ons.Inspiration
Like the photo title points out, the irreplaceable beauty of youth was inspiration enough. This young lady also did not use any makeup, which I regard as an advantage - also, a Nature's compliment. Wish more young models would adopt the principle, instead appearing in so many images needlessly painted like Chinese dragons :)))Editing
Just tight crop, to exclude as much of the background as possible. This, IMO was to highlight the theme, although the only discernible bakcground was actually a treebark. In my camera bag
For decades already I find it easier to carry a photo vest than any photo bag to take along whatever I want or need for my photo session, walk or trip. My photo bags usually stay home or in the car to keep the equipment I'm not using at the moment. My tripod has its permanent place in the car. The vest pockets usually contain two cameras, one of those is always waterproof. Sometimes I'll carry a small action camera, mainly for its wide field of view and resistance to water and weather. Other pockets keep the spare batteries, ND and CPL filters, and one small camera clamp which can be fixed to anything around, and in many cases can replace a tripod. The vest has pockets for longer lenses that usually hold a small water bottle, a sandwich, or a bar of chocolate - if I plan on being out for the whole day. I always pack about three meters length of paracord or similar strong, thin rope, one hefty pocket knife, and a lighter. Much can be improvised with these, so that's all I need. Recently I made it even easier, and take the essentials along in a waist pouch; a variable-volume McKinley. Simplicity and comfort are two best qualities for me in the Outdoors!Feedback
As you probably know, the simplest photos usually are the easiest for the viewers to read - and "simple photo" by definition is the one with the least number of elements. Also, the next time you take portraits try to persuade your model to remove or not wear any makeup - and I mean, not any, not even the most discreetly applied! You both might be surprised in a pleasant way!
