I have seen this so many times already it almost becomes boring. So-called weekend captains regularly underestimate the suddenness of weather changes, and their vessels usually suffer the consequences!
You can always tell newbies in boating and navigation. See the optimistic gauge of the rope they use, or elegantly small anchors (often of the wrong type), or just where their anchor lines cut the surface.
They are also recognizable by failing to appear immediately when the weather hints at changing.
The poor boats show it all.
