So, beside photographing, you might want to look it up on the net for ways of preparing, and there are some nice recipes!

Let me tell you an old story that was popular when I was just a kid (which makes it one very old story indeed):
A man is resting in the oak shade and thinks, "God, why was Your decision that this grand tree can only produce such a tiny fruit, while the mighty pumpkin must grow from the poor, weak roots? What were You thinking?"
And while he's musing, an acorn detaches itself from the high up branch, and hits him squarely mid forehead!
And the man cries out, "God I'm sorry! Please let everything remain just as You made it..."

There are several oaks nearby, so all it took was to gather a handful of acorns and arrange them on a plate. Easy as can be!Time

Nice, early afternoon Daylight, so the camera chose 1/125 sec, f3.3 and ISO100 at 4.3mm focal length.Equipment
The camera was a NIKON P610 with no added tackle. Shot out of hand.Inspiration
Acorns look great - these are probably among the most attractive seed form among all. Their color, texture and form simply call to be photographed, and also played with... When I was in primary school, we used to make various figures with toothpicks and acorns. So I guess the inspiration did remain from those days.Editing
All it needed was some cropping to make the image layout to fit the idea of proper frame; nothing else was required. In my camera bag
I find it easier to carry a photo vest than any photo bag. So I load my photo vest with whatever I might need for my photo session, walk or trip, while my photo bags usually keep the equipment I'm not using at the moment. The vest's many pockets usually contain two cameras, spare batteries, ND and CPL filters, and one photo clamp standing in for a tripod. Recently I include a small action camera, mainly for its wide field of view and resistance to water and weather. The vest also has large-lens pockets that contain a small water bottle, sandwich, or a bar of chocolate if I plan on being out for the whole day. There is about three meters length of paracord or similar strong, thin rope, one hefty pocket knife, and a lighter. My smartphone comes along too. It has yet another spare camera, but more importantly the Spirit Level App wich I use to make the phone a perfectly horizontal surface under my camera. This is essential for panoramic sweeps. The app is free, and requires no extra permissions whatsoever. The large back pocket of the vest is reserved for a lightweight rain poncho. If the weather suddenly plays up, the poncho neatly covers all. Using the tools mentioned above, much can be improvised along the way, so that's all I need to make photos.Feedback
Small world is as interesting as the wide one around us, and even people which prefer landscapes will often enjoy looking at the details. So be ready for everything, quite regardless of your photo shooting plans, and be adequately equipped for beauties of all sizes. Otherwise, just keep your eyes open - and remember that photography is also a kind of synonym for noticing! :)
