(Araneus diadematus) thinks it's nifty on our terrace pillow.
Then we think it's nifty to photograph him, about hundred times.
After that, we find him another nifty place, more appropriate to his usual natural ambient.
And everyone is happy. :)

'Struth, and if I used this one in any insect-related context... I'd be wrong (still counting on folks not knowing a difference between arachnids and insects! ;)

Behind The Lens

Location

Pillow... chair... terrace... home, Elenkamen, Macedonia.

Time

11:37 AM

Lighting

Beautiful Daylight!

Equipment

Nikon P610 (1/160s @ f3.3, ISO100, 4.3mm, 0.0eV)

Inspiration

Appearance of a beautiful animal on the pillow surface texture looked interesting!

Editing

Nothing much except a bit of cropping...

In my camera bag

I use pockets of my photo vest to carry any photo equipment I need, rather than a photo bag. But when I am home, my cameras are laid out on a coffee table so as to be readily used if something happens within my view.

Feedback

The terrace offers a 180-degree vista of the Lake, and lots of things happen there within minutes, such as changes in the colors and texture, behavior of waterbirds, boats passing... But one has to watch out for things on the smaller scale too. There are reptiles and insects, and all that belongs to interesting everyday photo themes.
