I noticed this spring that there were several different types of flowers in my backyard. Growing among the fairly un-kept-up grass (I hesitate to call it a lawn…). I’m talking mostly tiny flowers hiding in the grass – I think I counted six or seven different varieties. So this year I started to photograph them. Usually in late afternoon when the light got warm and more diffused through the surrounding trees. And usually with me laying down on the grass with my camera just set on my camera bag (or the ground itself)…

I didn’t get all varieties this year. But I did get started (I think I’ll make it a series…). This is the first. The flowers are only around a quarter-inch in size. I think this species might be Blue Salvia. But not sure… so if there are any botanists out there who can fill me in – I’d appreciate it. Thanx.
