Well, this was not a normal friendly visit, as the bug is trying to get at the snail for quite opposite, more gourmet reasons.
The bug was pushing the snail across the forest road, so I parked by the roadside to take a look (and a few photos).
At one point I separated them and put them down beside the road, about a meter apart.
Would you believe, the bug instantly ran toward the snail as if connected to it by a rubber band!
I did not intervene again, since one has to let Nature function the way it does. But photos and memories are mine.
