I 'm a fan. I agree with your philosophy in BTL..."it's not about the expensive camera equipment but about using what's in front of you" (somewhat paraphrased. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much! I do believe it's all in the photographer's mind and how to make the most of it, not in the equpiment.

Thanks Mick! As we've discussed before. A few years back we received many more comments than we do nowadays on the pictures. What has changed?

This photo is taken a beautiful fall day in the pastures where I grew up.Time
If I recall it was in the middle of the day. Not what's recommended as far as lighting goes but the angle makes it work.Lighting
This is a very spontanious photo. I just made sure the sun hit the tree trunk from the right angle and also the colorful leaves. Next was to frame it right. Starting with the trunk in one corner and the tip of the leafy branch in the other corner to fill the space.Equipment
Believe it or not, it's from a Nikon Coolpix S9100, a pretty good pocket camera but it can't be compared to the Nikon D780 I use today. However some of my most liked photos I took with the Coolpix so it's not always about the expensive equipment. It's what you, the photographer, do with what you got.Inspiration
Just the moment.Editing
No post processing what so ever.In my camera bag
I have my personal standard kit of Nikon D7200/D780, the 10-24 lens for interior photos, 24-70 2.8 for general shots and 70-200 f4 for distance/zoom and I love it on people portraits. 200-500mm for birds and similar. I also have a 50 mm, Tamron 100 mm macro. It's just for fun as I'm not serious with macro photography. But the 50 m.m. f1.8 takes some of the most beautiful photos. It's razor sharp. It's small, cheap and doesn't weigh anything so it's worth bringing along. SB-700 flash.Feedback
It's all about the angle here. I think I took ten shots before I nailed this one. One milimeter off can ruin the whole feeling of an image so don't be afraid to take many of the same. For example, too much of the tree trunk lost the balance of the photo, too little of the trunk would do the same so take your time and take many shots.
