"As I scrolled through the gallery, I found myself re-visiting this image again and again. It has all of the yummy things a viewer craves in a photograph; beautiful light direction, sumptous tonal range, texture, interesting use of shape, line, and space. Beyond that, though, the image is commanding. It challenges the viewer, and most importantly, it poses questions. Any time I look at a photograph and it makes me stop, even for just a few seconds, I know there’s something to it.
