Behind The Lens

Location

In the juridical district of Luxemburg, and rural Minnesota, USA.

Time

The building was shot in the afternoon in March and the sky was photographed in the evening in December 2016.

Lighting

The building is lit up by cloudy daylight. The night sky is long exposure to get the "streaky" clouds around the moon.

Equipment

Nikon D7100 and D750, nikkor 24-70mm (Tripod for the long exposure and remote release)

Inspiration

The architecture was quite different so I wanted a different angle of it.

Editing

Yes, turned it black and white and made sure it had lots of black in it. Next was to removed the daylight - which was just white sky as it was bright and cloudy that day. I added the night sky from my Minnesota trip and centered the moon at the top of the building for effect.

In my camera bag

Nikon D750, 24-70, 70-200, 200-500. (at the moment) Sirui tripod, Nikon remote release, ND-filters, Polarizer filter, cleaning tools, Manfrotto Led8, paper and pen.

If you see something different know that others have photographed it too. Try to find a different angle of it. Look up, sideways, climb up on something and photograph it downwards... Use your imagination.
