It was just a lovely light this morning. I was about done with my photographing tour (with myself and I) and just snapped this shot as I passed this birch tree. It was one of the best shots on the memory card.

Love the delicate and perfect blend of sun and blanketing fog. Just a great composition and such a beautiful tranquil location.

Hand held or tripod/monopod? All things came together on this one...light, shade, reflection, fog...A "thank you God moment!" Quiet applause from here :)

Great work - capturing both the colors of the leaves onthe tree as well as the mist in the distance.

This photo is very warm and inviting. I really like the softness in the lighting and the subtle whispering of the colors. Well done!

Location
This photo came about an early fall morning when I couldn't sleep. It's taken in the last minute of a walk I took around the lake where I live in Bollebygd, Sweden.Time
Maybe 6 or 7 in the morning, it was early.Lighting
It's all natural light. Normally it's not a good idea to photograph with the sun in front of the lens but with all the fog and mist, it lit the area in the most beautiful way, bringing the gorgeous fall colors to life.Equipment
Nikon D7100, Nikkor 10-24 mmInspiration
I loved the light but to be honest, I wasn't even standing still taking this picture. I was walking by the tree and just snapped it. I did slow down but it was taken in the middle of a step. Lucky shot. :-)Editing
No editing at all, other than adding the black frame as I was going to say Good morning to my friends on facebook with it, and wanted to make it more "postcardy". Little did I know people on several websites would love this image or I would have posted it without a frame. In my camera bag
Nikon D7100, 10-24 mm, 24-70 mm, 70-200 mm, an extra battery, a remote release and a dust cloth. I also have a notepad and pen in case I need to take notes for some reason. I often carry along a tripod as well but it doesn't fit the camera bag.Feedback
I love morning photography and to me, it's the best time of the day to photograph most things. My tip is to get up early, preferably a few minutes before sunrise, and just go out there and shoot. It may sound simple but you will see what I mean. It's something about the light and the atmosphere when the landscape awakens. You captivate the essence of the day in the photo. It's kind of magical. Most my landscape photos here on Viewbug are mornings.
