Behind The Lens

Location

In Forssa, Bollebygd, Sweden.

Time

It's in the late afternoon just as the sun is setting. (Ca 3:30 pm, it gets dark early in Sweden this time a year.) It was the coldest day in January 2016.

Lighting

It's all natural light as I love the warmth of the golden sunset even though it was -20 degrees.

Equipment

Nikon D7100 and Nikkor 24-70mm

Inspiration

I was on a walk and bumped into another photographer walking in the woods. We came to talk and he didn't know the area so well so I took him here. While he walked down to the frozen rapids, I stayed on the bridge and snapped a few photos from above.

Editing

Yes, I added a bit of HDR to it in Photoshop. I try to keep it as natural as possible. I don't care for added saturation and gamma so I hardly ever add that to my photos. Ever.

In my camera bag

Nikon D750, 24-70, 70-200, 200-500mm, a remote release, some cleaning tools, a camera light (Manfrotto Led8) and ym tripod.

Feedback

Just wait for the light and don't fear the cold! Dress well and keep the camera warm.
